Mimi was completely reborn with the same care and loving attention I give all my babies.
I am dedicated to the art or reborning, and have been doing so for 8 years (since 2002).
I strive for excellence and realism with each and every baby “born” to Exceptional Reborn Nursery.
Mimi is a gorgeous newborn baby of 20", with 1/4 limbs. I have filled Mimi’s limbs with tiny glass granules then sealed with a strong waterproof silicone adheasive to prevent any leakage. I carefully and expertly filled Mimi's custom made jointed cotton body, and filled her head with sealed bag of tiny glass beads , then surrounded the bag with premium polyfil for the perfect weight and feel! You will LOVE holding and cuddling this stunning little baby girl!
As you can see, Mimi has a beautiful, healthy skin glow, as she has been completely reborn with my own special blends of permanent Genesis heat-set pigments to produce the most realistic skin tone.
I never paint the inside of a baby nor do I use dyes…only non-bruising techniques have been used to achieve the undertones in the skin. I hand-painted Mimi's face and limbs to look extremely realistic, giving them a look of ''real living skin'' with realistic tiny mottled cheeks, a beautiful baby complexion.
I have high lighted and shadowed all her little rolls and creases to perfection and gave Mimi a beautiful, natural lip color and sealed her lips with a satin sealer .
I also take things a step further by adding realistic but very subtle ''veining'' in bluish tones to add the look of baby veins to her skin in various places .. to the bridge of his nose, her tiny wrists, the top of her hands, tops of her feet, etc. So very subtle just like real baby Veins.
Her nose has not been opened so to keep the integrity of the doll, but I painted her nostrils to give them depth.
Her nails have been painted to give the look of a beautiful maniqured fresh cute nails
I hand painted Mimi's 1/4 arms and legs in a natural baby skin tones with just the right amount of blushing . When she was finished, I gave Mimi a warm soapy bubble bath to remove any traces of residue, then I washed and conditioned her ultra micro rooted premium Honey Blond kid Angorah hair, she smells wonderful like a freshly washed baby.
Mimi has a gorgeous full head of hair which I spent many days rooting it to perfection.I secured her hair on the inside of her head with an extremely strong, waterproof adhesive for added durability.
